The day has finally arrived. I’ve been a regular around here since 2003, and my involvement in this internet community is second to none. Something about the jigsaw puzzle that is Star Wars compressed us into a haven that attracts creativity born out of a sense of need.
Thanks to all of you for the continual space to come day after day and work on things together. Times have changed. We once were passing around DVDs of LaserDisc rips, comparing combing artifacts. Hell, ESB Despecialized 1.0 was a decade ago. We’ve all aged a good 18 years since then. Some of the smart people around here weren’t even born at that point. That’s pretty crazy to weigh out. Members have come and gone. I’ve tried to stay out of drama, and there are those I miss, though fortunately FE.org has retained many of them.
With this 9000th post that doesn’t mean anything other than a high number that happens to match my username, I want to acknowledge my enduring fondness and appreciation for this forum and what it’s meant to me for a rather long time.
