Part of me sort of enjoys having Testing as a “devil’s advocate” of sorts - after all, when fanediting, it can be all too easy to change something without fully appreciating the nuances of why it was that way to begin with, and it can be valuable to step back and reflect on whether you’ve really gained more than you’ve lost. One of the best things about fanediting is it gives us freedom from the problem the studios have of needing one version of their movie to appeal to all people. There’s no need for us to reintroduce that problem by deciding any one fanedit has to be the be-all and end-all.
