Seems like I would want a version that is the OV, with the DC ending. They should definately do a huge special edition THX-remastered version of it or something, then. I'm going to have to see it.

Well, it certainly looks like my kind of movie. I will probably join your cause, after I see this film. This forum has made me curious. Does this movie have a large following?

Just to drum up the old argument: Deckard is NOT a replicant! He wasn't in the book, so he shouldn't be in the movie. I defer to the original author.

But, it is a good movie. And yes, it's a cult film.

HO-LY SHIT! After some googling, I've found that that film is...VERY popular! Check this site on wikipedia, which proves people's devotion to it, which you guys would be interested in:

Now go and BUY the directors cut - BUT make sure you get the original also (it's WAY better then the Directors Cut!!)

Blade Runner, I've been obsessed by it since 1988. It formed part of my degree.

I love it.

And yes.. In my opinion...

Deckard is as human as they come.

I would go so far as to say that it is not a cult film at all. For a start TOO MANY people love and own a copy of it on VHS, Laserdisc, DVD or all three.

It has now been recognised as the classic that it is too. SO I'm sure that disqualifies it from being a cult.

I would love to see that Hi Def version on DVD. Can't wait till it hits myspleen! :-)

Completely disagree. There is VERY little changed between the original cut and the directors cut but what IS changed is a lot better. I'll be posting my dual-layer version soon.

I tend to look at the Director's Cut & the Theatrical Cut as two different versions of the same story. Little changes in the DC make a significant impact on how the film is read, and in my opinion makes 'Blade Runner' richer and gives me more to think about.

The TC is basically a straight up sci-fi action film, with some compelling ideas, but not quite as compelling as the DC.

At any rate, I'm glad that all of these different versions exist...

The covers on here look sweet!!
I was just wondering if, with all of these great covers, does anyone have great DVD labels to go with them???
Thanks.

- The VOICE OVER IS GONE that's not a major change? - IT REALLY changes the feel of the movie IMHO

Sorry but no, i don't think it's a major change. It's not as if he narrated the whole freakin' movie. They were interspersed through it at various points but it didn't add anything. No one wanted it there in the first place. It's better off without it.
