Last Video Game Played

I just beat Super Mario Bros. 3. It was alright. The pacing was a little rough, with some world twice as long as others, but the level design was mostly fine.

I’ve never played Halo. How is it?

Final Fantasy VII remake and that was like a year ago.

I’ve ordered Final Fantasy VIII remaster and Mass Effect Legendary edition. Cannot wait to play them.

If my Xbox hadn’t died i’d probably not have bought the remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy, and would have been able to play Kotor 1 and 2, my digital collection of Metal Gear Solid HD. And probably one of my favorite games ever Star Wars Battlefront 2. The original not the one that came out in the Disney era.

Battlefront II is on sale on Steam right now for $4 CAD. Even at full price it’s only $11.50 CAD.

I haven’t played those in so many years i had Halo 1 and 2. I also really liked Reach. I thought Halo 4 and 5 sucked, 3 was kind of a mixed bag.

The newer games the single player story mode/campaign is mostly an afterthought. They put everything into the online features.

I don’t care about MMO or online, it wasn’t why i was a fan of Halo in the first place.

I think i played Halo remastered and completed the first one. Started the second remake and lent it out to my brother who never returned the game.

Final Fantasy VIII remastered was extremely disappointing no 16:9 mode no skipping cutscenes, no voice acting. Looked like SD cdrom ps1 quality with some uprez. The game might have been amazing in 1999 not so much now.

I spent 40 bucks to buy the import, what a waste of money no wonder it didn’t get a US release.

Finally beat the first league in F-Zero SNES on my Switch. Was stuck on Sand Ocean for ages. Truly underrated game y’all should check out.

I became very interested in the Yakuza series over quar. I started with Yakuza 0 in march 2020, played all of them through 7 over the course of the year, and then I finished the spin off, Judgment, a few weeks ago. That was the last game I played seriously and one of my favorite of the series, highly highly recommend all of them, Judgement, Yakuza 0, and Yakuza 5 remastered especially. I was so deep in that series for so long, I don’t know what to play now, I’m still hungry for more

Wow, playing all of a series back to back in numerical order like that has to be something special. I know I try to start series at the start. In 2019 I played three urban RPGs that were the first of their series. In order, I played Pokemon Ultra Violet (Basically Fire Red / Leaf Green), Earthbound Beginnings, and Persona 1. I had never played any of them but greatly enjoyed all of them. It’s been a while since then. The following year I played Pokemon Heart Gold / Soul Silver and Persona 2: Innocent Sin as follow-ups, and haven’t touched either series since, but plan to do so next year. Needed a bit of a break. Or at least I thought I did.

Other games I’ve played in recent years are Celeste (while on trip to France), Sayonara Wild Hearts, and Plants vs. Zombies, which I all enjoyed. I still need to play Jet Set Radio.

I’m playing mass effect legendary edition and so far the visuals compared to the original release are much improved. Colors and textures everything is more defined. The size was absolutely massive as well it took 100 gigs to install on my ps4. Plus the 10 gigs to install the play disc data.

You can play as the Mass Effect 3 Femshep straight from the beginning to the end. You no longer have to create a character design. All the DLC is included. And all 3 games.
