I heartily agree with you that it was a mistake. I was wrong saying it was a remake. It has to be an official one to be called that. In actuality, it's a rip-off of War of the Worlds. The entire plot was lifted, with some additions. Think about it.

I rest my case. The original is by far superior, including the more awe inspiring effects. Ok, this thread's going off topic.
Basically, I liked the documentry. It contained no info I didn't already know, missed a lot of things I did, and barely featured the SE nuntil the end of Jedi's segment. Still not worth the price and shame of the boxset though.
