“I’ll admit that it was pretty easy to notice some faint to moderate noise reduction either baked in to some of the visual effects or applied to the transfer after the fact – it’s certainly nothing grossly offensive by any stretch, and the extremely high level of fine detail in this picture will likely mask it from most eyes.”
Yeah, and Lucas made “some faint to moderate” changes to the original trilogy, but it’s all good because it’s in gLoRiOuS 4k. I don’t have this set yet, but I hope they’re at least right about the color grading being an improvement over the first Blu-ray.
