His posts are seriously stinking things up around here. He has all but admitted that tonight he is doing nothing more than posting over and over again in an attempt to reach 1000 posts by the end of the night. Is there a mod that can please take care of this before it gets out of hand? Please feel free to take a look at his last few posts. "All your ______ are belong to us" in every post? In every thread? I think this might fall under the catagory of immature.

Please feel free to remove this topic if it is deemed out of line, but I don't think I am alone in wanting this guy to calm down and act like an adult. (He posts all day long every day so he can't be a kid. At least I hope not. And even if he is, my four year old has more self control.)

AFTER FURTHER REVIEW IN THE PRESERVATION FORUM I'M NOW OF THE OPINION THAT A TIME OUT MAY BE A GOOD IDEA. I'M AFRAID THAT AWK JUST HASN'T LEARNED HIS LESSON. EVEN JEDIKEV HAS SHOWN SOME MATURITY AFTER HIS TIME OUT. PERHAPS THIS WOULD DO AWK SOME GOOD. PERSONALLY, I'VE HAD ENOUGH. HE'S BEEN WARNED BY ME A FEW TIMES NOW. Don't you guys think this is becoming a witch hunt? It's the third case, that I can remember, of people wanting for Jay to interfere into someone's posting. I belive the major reason for this is the lack of quality of the posting from the past few months, in which we all, and I specially include myself, are to blame for.

Don't you just love inside jokes? Anyway, as I've told Jay, I'll cut down on the types of posts that you mention. The counting thread will have to do for the useless posts, or if someone wishes to rekindle the word game.

It took a lot of warnings before others were banned, and AWK will get the same opportunities those members did. He has nothing to worry about if he cleans up his act, which he says he will.

While I prefer a hands-off moderation style, one of the drawbacks is the appearance of "Please ban So-And-So" threads because troublemakers don't get immediate warnings like they would elsewhere.

I think that will change with the new forum software. I'll probably be enlisting some additional mods.

I didn't want it to seem that I was asking for him to be banned. Just... maybe, talked to. In an official capacity. Just seemed that his posts were degenerating quickly. He does, sometimes, have some quality conversation to add. But yesterday it just seemed as if he was trying to see how far he could push it before someone blew up at him.

I guess you could say that I did this as much for him as I did for all the rest of us.

Man, now I feel like a jackass.

For the record, it would probably be a good idea to PM complaints to Jay and let him start such threads. If anyone who wants to starts a ban this guy thread, then it could clutter up the board.

Unless Jay says otherwise, of course.
