Jack's making a lot of suppositions about the quality of the supplemental disc. Van Ling's never really done stuff on the 2nd disc save for the menus and the menu structure. His absence doesn't really say anything, especially since he's still doing the menus and the menu structure. And I wouldn't trust First as a great reviewer, either. Just because he got it early doesn't mean he's Roger Ebert.

Oh God...someone should stop Adam from going to MF. They're gonna rip him a new one.

As for an Extended Edition of ROTS, I'm all for it, provided I can still get the original theatrical cut which I thought was tight and well paced. I actually really, really enjoyed ROTS the way it was. I mean, that's why we're all preservationists, right? I'd watch a fan edit though, don't get me wrong, I'd just be dissappointed if I couldn't watch the original cut of ROTS, just as I was with TPM and AOTC.

But this is originaltrilogy.com, so I digress...

I myself won't have any opinion until I've seen the DVD and all the deleted scenes. If you ask me, things like the Yoda Dagobah thing and the rebellion meeting scenes are nice background tidbits, but might not work at all if put into the film. The Yoda scene might, but I thought the original cut was good about not getting too far away from the fate of the main characters in those ending shots.

I'm a big fan of the film at it's current runtime. However, as time progresses, I'm going to want to be able to watch the film as a 'full story', with the scenes back in. This is no way intended to replace the Theatrical Film. It's just nice to get as much Star Wars as I can.

That's pretty much how it'd go down.

To get back to the topic, I'm sure if some of these scenes aren't reinserted into the flick, the edit that DOES reinsert them will come from here, and I hope it's something more simple than not. There's not going to be any real way to reinsert the Shaak Ti scene, so that's always just going to be a curiosity. The Rebellion scenes can be put back in, as well as the Yoda scene, but some of these scenes were deleted too early to be reinserted, I think.

I have faith in you editmonkeys that you'll cook something up.

I have just signed up at MF.com, it says an administrator has to approve me, cool. That site looks like a cool site, with bootlegs and spy reports and all. Looks kind of like what TF.N used to be.
