Dragon Ball GT

I actually intend on making my own recreation of the Dragon Ball manga called Dragon Ball Revised. It’ll basically be all 519 chapters (and 1 side story) of the original version, but with an additional 101 chapters based on Dragon Ball GT. Also, the final chapter of the original version, Chapter 519, will have two different versions. The first version will be exactly how it was in the original manga, where it ends there. The other version, which I’m calling the “Director’s Cut”, will change the ending narration to that of the chapter’s anime counterpart, the final episode of Dragon Ball Z, and therefore, lead to the additional 101 chapters, based on Dragon Ball GT. The process of Dragon Ball Revised (at least for the first 519 chapters and side story) should go something like this:

Step 1: I copy each page of a chapter by hand.
Step 2: I scan my versions of each page.
Step 3: I color each page on GIMP, using the colors of the anime for reference.
Step 4: I use Comic Life 3 to add narrations, dialogue, etc.

I don’t know how I’ll do the additional 101 chapters, but I’ll let everyone know as soon as I know.

Dragon Ball Revised will be available in both Japanese and English. I don’t know when I’ll get around to it, but I’ll let everyone know once I get there.

Just to update on Dragon Ball Revised, I now have an idea to do two different versions of Chapter 194 as well. The Director’s Cut of Chapter 194 will be an alternate ending to the manga. The reason why I intend on doing a Director’s Cut of Chapter 194 as well as 519 is because the “Z” portion of the manga gets way too much attention. It’s almost as if people think it’s the only portion of the story. This annoyance has pretty much persuaded me to do a Director’s Cut of Chapter 194 as well as 519. I’ll let everyone know once I start working on this project.

GT was boring, really poorly written, and just weak all around. Super saiyin 4 was the only interesting idea to come out of it. Otherwise it’s still the weakest of series.
