And now that I’ve been able to actually take a look at the scene where Rey goes to get the, ahem, SACRED JEDI TEXTS during the Palpatine speech sequence, you’d really have to zoom way into it to be able to remove the saber. It’s just a little continuity error. There are hundreds in SW, so I’m not going to fret about it.

It’s hard for me to understand how some people are able to overlook small errors like that without going crazy, but I guess I’m in the minority because of that lmao. Maybe I’m the crazy one.

You have a similar thing happen in your The Approaching Storm edit if you didn’t know. It has to do with Anakin’s lightsaber appearing and disappearing because you removed him losing it to begin with in the chase scene.

Not a whole lot you can do about it without removing even more stuff (or doing some insane VFX).

You have to remember when you watch a movie it’s for entertainment and you’re not out to analyze every little detail and pick it apart. Even regular movies without being fan-edited contain dozens of little inconsistencies and errors with entire websites dedicated to listing every single flaw. So in a fan edit it’s the same deal, some things seep through the cracks that you really just don’t care about or would be too hard to fix, but the alternative (leaving it un-edited) contains more flaws, it’s a cost benefit thing where pros outweigh the cons.
