Also it is a neat transition from “Padme’s funeral” to “Lament”. It shows that Anakin would’ve been alive if Qui-Gon survived. Thus Qui-Gon’s death led into Anakin’s death at the end of the film because Qui-Gon’s funeral motif with Imperial march playing at the end adds a lot of sadness into it.
