Not entirely. Finn still says that the Emperor wanted Rey brought to him on Exegol if Ochi caught her. We simply made it up to interpretation whether he would do the ritual or kill her at that point. Imo that ambiguity works much better because it makes Palpatine’s plan easier to follow along for the average person.

Yeah haha I worded it that way because I was pointing out that we aren’t contradicting canon by removing that line. So the lore nuts get their way, and so does everyone else.
