I’m hoping these become available on Torrent sites (or, even better, on Japanese UHDs or Japanese digital stores)

• “Mothra vs. Godzilla” (1964)
• “The Greatest Battle on Earth” (1964)

• “Godzilla vs Biollante” (1989)

King Kong vs Godzilla has aired a few times now and hasn’t been released outside of airing on this channel so i wouldn’t have hope for any kind of home video release any time soon.

A 4K restoration of MOTHRA (1961) was also announced by Toho and will reach some cinemas in japan too.

I want 1954 and 1984 Gojira in 4K. I would import the TOHO discs if they are ever released.

I’m also waiting for their Akira Kurosawa films in 4K which TOHO seems determined to never release on disc.

This is awesome news! I already pre-ordered King Kong vs Godzilla and King Kong Escapes. Really hope the rest of these get blu ray releases.

A couple of these have aired. Have they been captured/released at all?
If so can someone PM me how to obtain them?

I was coming here to ask the same.

Except I know every film that’s aired has been captured (screenshots are out there). Trouble is the people who’ve captured them have kept them very close to the chest and it’s very hard to find anyone willing to share them. So any sources would be welcome.

Oh man, would loooooove to see these. was a little disappointed we didn’t get slightly better quality from the Criterion Godzilla set (Pretty sure I read criterion didn’t have access to the Japanese remasters). I’d have been happy with a better quality Blu ray.
It’s a shame some stingy mo-fos don’t want to share them. There’s always someone like that in a fan community isn’t there? 😦

Thanks to ALL members of the forum whose tireless preservation efforts have allowed me to watch the original films as I remember them.
You all rule.
