The Gil Gerard special and the Mike Eisner/George Lucas opening of the ride at Disneyland can be seen on Aaron Snyder's disc. (I don't know offhand what's on Alex's disc, but I think the Gerard special is on there too.) 3PO rapping is incredibly cheesy, as is the costumed actor show at the ride opening.

Aaron Snyder can be reached at amsnyde at charter.net. His original disc was actually double-layer with art printed on it, and it does have a camcorded version of the ride which is quite good as well.

Alex Newborn can be reached at Ploovo241 at aol.com. He did another Star Tours disc which I haven't fully looked at. He also shot some footage at C3, including a muffled recording of the Lucas interview and another muffled recording of a commentary session for Return of the Ewok. (Which I might bother to put on my Return of the Ewok disc someday.)

I could send you this material myself, but my Aaron Snyder Star Tours disc has gotten scratched, I'm asking Aaron for another.

This is still looking good! We really need to see those discs and what's on them. Anybody else want to contact those two and get copies of the discs? (Thanks ocpmovie for their email addresses)
Anyone up trying to compile all of this stuff on a great new dvd? I can help gather the videoclips and photos I have and send them to someone who wants to take a shot at this disc. We just need someone who can author the discs and wants to. Then people can send them the footage/photos...

That German video is pretty cool too. If someone can translate it, adding english (or any other language) subtitle shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the link Adam, must've missed that one. Unfortunately the rap clip link seems to be dead.
Has anyone got any other links to it, or be willing upload it somewhere to share?
