As the original poster on MF said, and I agree - cropped hi-res cropped McQuarrie is better than no McQuarrie at all!

Several sources are available for the non-cropped versions, just not in as high resolution. Until something better comes along...

I'm encouraged by this new Star Wars poster book coming out. I'm sure some intrepid individual will makes hi-res scans and the DVD cover madness will begin anew!

This seems like the best spot for this request.

I know there are various 'Ink Saver' covers out, but i was wondering if anyone has made any completely black and white (grayscale) covers that can be printed out on non color printers. I was thinking of printing some covers out on a laser printer (not color) and figured if designed in black and white i could prob get some nice looking covers for some of the many versions i have. would be like super ink saver covers as it would only use black

@ Ell: Great cover! Only suggestion I'd make is add the "Star Wars" logo to the back as well where the empty black space is. Nice job, looking forward to seeing the other ones. Don't forget to make labels to go with them.

Nice. I like the shiny logo on the spine. And the Color on the Fox logo.The front montage looks killer, although it looks like Obi-wan has too much make-up. And the font on the back is lackluster, imho. But the rest is great!

@catofong: That's not bad at all. I'd just suggest to move the gold "Widescreen" bar up to the top of the picture and flush against the sides of the front cover. That is, if you're going for an "official" look to the front cover. And, if you're doing that, you may want to make the THX stuff at the bottom of the front cover gold too. There are plenty of covers on Grisan's site which you could use as a template for that. Of course, if you're not looking at giving it an "official" look, disregard what I just said.

what you all think i made the wide screen bar flush the top of the cover
,changed the color balance of the spine to gold
replaced the back and white thx logo with gold one.

I know this is old but I've been meaning to mention it for a while. In "The Clone War" cover, you can still see Anakin's lightsaber original color because of the green aura around his hand. Before a final version of these go out, which won't be for a while, I just wanted to bring that to someone's attention.

@catofong: It's too big to e-mail. Here's the torrent page on MySpleen: Star Wars - Custom DVD Cover Torrent. Doesn't look like anyone is seeding at the momment. I may be mistaken, but I think that Rikter was planning on updating the torrent sometime this fall.

Torrents may take a while, but they're worth it. Also, I don't have the 1.4 gig cover collection, so I can't help you out there. Just take a look at Grisan's site and download what you like.
