I was looking at Rey’s new saber in the final scene, and I was wondering if there was anyway that the framing of the jilt could be adjusted so that the whole hilt is in frame and then we see Rey actually ignite both sides of it?
There are hints throughout the film towards her having a saberstaff (when she’s training she pulls a stick to herself and uses it as a staff, and when she’s on the death star her vision has her with a saberstaff.) And it would be nice if that had some sort of visual pay off, even if it’s only in this final scene.
That’s a great idea. I think it can be done but the amount of time it would take to execute a good-looking scene would be way too much for a few seconds.
I was actually going to commission an additions scene of Rey building her Saber and merging Leia and Luke’s broken kyber crystals into one to give her the purple Saber but Covid has stopped that idea in it’s tracks.
