In fact, if the Original-Original Trilogy was re-released with cleaned up frames, reduced mat-lines, Dolby-surround sound, and re-rotoscoped lightsabers, I would have no problem with it whatsoever. The objections I have always had have been to the plot changes - i.e. Greedo shooting first, Jabba's scene in ANH, Sy Snootles' new musical number (which interferes with the flow of the movie), etc. It has also been to changes that have made the movie inferior - i.e. overdubs of that dodgy New Zealand voice for Boba Fett, Hayden Christensen as the ghost of Anakin, etc.
