I think while John Williams should have been an executive producer for the music from the trilogy, i think Michael Giacchino should have been the main composer. His work on Rogue One helped implement the old music while also bringing something completely new.
I don’t like the idea of the music in the new trilogy simply being a ‘‘greatest hits’’.
Good thing it’s not that and Williams brought his A game with three scores that are better than Rogue One.
