Steven Spielberg's 1941

Anyone here ever see it? I watched it the other night - it's funny in parts, but too long on the whole and probably would have benefitted from less sub plots.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

Only? What about "Always", "Hook", "Amistad", "Terminal"...?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Most of the others listed got artistic acclaims, etc, even if they were flops at the box office. 1941 was both a flop, and had no artisitic praises as well.

"Howwywooood!!!"
There may be some funny bits, but the ending is an overkill of silly gags...

The best thing in this movie is... J.Williams' music
/me listens to 1941 march.
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

My favorite 1941 moments were the scenes with Nancy Allen arguing with Tim Matheson. She was pretty hot.

What exactly is "The Duel" about? I assume there's more to it than just a duel.

It's good, but dated. It's like Spielberg is screaming through his direction "Seventies! This movie is from the ealry seventies! Early seventies!" - but it's a good film.
