Hi, I’m 41, married with a 6 year old daughter. I was 4 when Return of the Jedi came out in theaters. Growing up, I must have watch the OG trilogy more time then I can count on Bata and VHS. I have to say, this restoration of the theatrical release of the OG trilogy is something the 100% needed to be done. I can’t let my daughter see the modern versions of the OG trilogy, at least not for her first viewing. Personally, I can’t watch the modern version of them. It makes me upset when I see what was done to them. When Vader made the decision to save Luke, it always gave me a emotional feeling, but when the added him yelling NOOOO, it ruined the scene horribly. the worst one of all was when they edited A New Hope to have Greedo shoot at Han first… That made me so made I can’t use the language I want to describe how I feel about that. Han did and always will have, Shot First… I couldn’t bring myself to purchase the dvd, bluray, or UHD bluray because of what has been done to those Iconic movies. I can say how awesome it is to know people have gone above and beyond in restoring them to their former glory. I was a comic book collector (X-Men) I have’t purchased any comics in many years but I still have my collection. I’m a semi-professional cosplayer of theatrical Star Lord and Wolverine. I hate the Disney sequel trilogy and could rant for a very long time about all the things the screwed up. I do love the Mandalorian. Thank you Felony and Favroh. I hope Kathleen Kennedy gets fired and arrested for lying to George Lucas’s face on taking care of what he has built. She intentionally destroyed it. For that I can never forgive her. I’m in the camp that wants the sequel trilogy retconned into an alternate timeline and forgotten. I actually believe it has already started. In the timeline where the sequel trilogy takes place, I believe Ahsoka was killed by Darth Vader. The Mandalorian is in a different timeline where Ahsoka was saved by Ezra using the Veil of the Force. My hope is the Mandalorian can make up it’s own future and not lead to the first order and sequel trilogy.
