I have the myspleen version and it is an excellent DVD, but I am looking for the mono mix, and for some reason I am having no luck downloading it from a.b.sw.

Also, I am in the USA.

Thanks for all your help.

I've finally been going through and getting segaflip's ng posts off my hard drive and on to dvd's, I can barely keep up! I couldn't find any disc art for the EditDroid Mono disc so I made one myself. It's not great but I tried to match the feel of the main menu image. The colors aren't exactly matched, as I don't have the exact poster version that is used on the disc. But it's close enough for me. The ANH Mono disc will go in an Amaray 4-in-1 case along with the later EditDroid ANH and Rowman's EditDroid inspired extras. If anyone wants it, here you go...

Is there anyone else interested in doing a mix of the new EditDroid (the one with better picture/isolated score) & the old original one with the different audio? Thing is I have a isolated score version from ocpmovie's Classic Edition & I would love to see the EditDroid version with the better picture, but with the ability to switch in between.

Has anyone made one like this yet? If not, could I achieve making such a version using only DVDShrink? And finally, is there anyone who could get me a copy of them both for such an endeavor?

This is getting close to what I would consider the best DVD of Star Wars. One with the mono mix/35mm-Definitive mix/and 70mm 6 channel mix. Would love to see someone put this together.

What is the source for the Editdroid mono disc? Is it from the Definitive collection like the rest of the series?

I believe they had an old beta/vhs that they derived the mono track from, but the old version has that, the 80's mix, & the Definitive version...

But yeah, i'd most definetly be interested in doing a hybrid of the two versions...though is it possible to do using only DVD Shrink?

The picture is from Definitive Collection set. The mono mix track is from old '77 bootleg telecine tape. The other two tracks were from the Definitive Collection box set and the Widescreen edition sets.

So anyone have any info about how I could best go about making a hybrid of the two versions? I.E. - One with the new version's picture, but with the old one's three audio options...

DVD Shrink, Encyptor, etc....?

You could just rip it with Decryptor or Shrink (or even just copy the vobs over to your HD straight from the disc folders). Then, I use a program called Gold Wave to rip the audio tracks. From there I would make sure that the audio tracks link up to the picture from the other release. If it doesn't, you could tweak it in Vegas or something. Then I would use DVD Architect or whatever program you use in order to author the disc with multiple tracks.

But I am somewhat of a noob to this stuff, so others might have better suggestions.

I realize this isn't something that I should be asking, but is there any way to get either the EditDroid or ISOMIX sets on DVD (since I hear they are the best)? I am stuck on dial-up and wouldn't be able to download them, plus I tried searching once on a torrent site and came up empty handed...not to mention the fact that I once tried to download a DVD and it would have taken like 23 days straight or something stupid. LOL. Needless to say that isn't exactly an option.

So, is there any way to get them on DVD? I'd be happy to pay someone for the blank DVDs and shipping.

I just thought I should perhaps mention that I am in Canada, so it may be easier if there are other Canadians that can help me out since shipping would be a little cheaper.

A quick (and in my opinion better) fix would be to get hold of the latest Moth3r Mono AC3 file and add it to the Moth3r ANH DVD. I managed it and it was fairly easy.

If it is soundtracks you are after there is a new release due out shortly that will blow you away........

5.1 done
pcm 2.0 done
2004 directors commentary done
LD commentary done
moth3r mono done

so that's 5, yes read it, 5 soundtracks on this release.

I suggested adding one of the isolated scores just for the hell of it but so far I have had no response.

There is a thread here on ot.com so I will let the creator announce this fully when he is ready.

I've posted fixed disc art for the EditDroid trilogy to alt.binaries.starwars. When I say fixed, I mean I have gotten rid of the unnecessary white donut in each of the disc labels. So you can now have your discs printed full surface hub to hub! The post includes CMYK TIF and RGB JPG versions of all 3 films' discs. Enjoy!
