I started watching Jed/Feta's ANH SE disc today. Transfers I beleve were done by Dark Jedi, and I was very impressed with the quality of the picture and sound. Compared with Editdroid set/Cowclops V2 (the only other sets I have to compare against), I thought the picture quality was as least as good or better than the above mentioned sets. I'm not sure one can really compare the two sets, however, given the different sources (DE vs. SE laserdics) Sound quality sounded good using Dolby Pro-Logic II. overall, a very good set. Great job, Dark Jedi and Boba Feta!
thank you very much for the reply moth3r,i will get that software and try it out,and thank you number20 for the praise, boba and i appreciate that much. DJ as far as seeding at demonoid, soon as i get done capping segaflips "Brain Dead" i will try to seed again,King Kong is finished.
for those that are trying to get the Jedi/Feta SE set and others,go back to this thread"dark jedi gift packs "and read what bwlag had to say,he is willing to send out 5 sets to the first 5 that PM him. so go check it out DJ
The tracker at demonoid hasn't seemed to update my stats or anything lately, but I am seeding this as much as I can. As dark_jedi said, I still have a few sets left to send out - especially for those who are stuck on dial-up.
Are people still trying to get this from Demonoid? My download finished a few days ago, and since then no-one seems to be downloading it from me. I stopped all of my other torrents, and he max upload that was being taken was 1kb/s. Im on a 2meg line and my uploads are set at full. Just wondering how much longer to seed this as its taking up over 14gigs of space. Neil
I'm at 96.6%. All of ANH got down this morning. I burned that and it looks great. I've got about 9 more hours to go on the rest of it. Good job dark_jedi.
My share ratio is at 1.063. I'm planning on seeding until it gets to at least 1.5, maybe longer. (I'll need to reboot sometime though.)

I have burned all of the discs, and printed out the covers and DVD labels - they look great! I have only watched the bonus DVD in its entirety at the moment, which I thought was excellent, the films I have scanned through and they seem to be of equal quality. Great opening video prior to the menu's - NICE JOB!

Finally found the time today to watch both your DC version of ANH, and the fresh SE version of ANH, Dark_Jedi. First, thanks a lot for the great work, it is very much appreciated!
I noticed the SE version has a much softer image compared to the DC version. Was the source material already so much softer, or were more agressive noise filters necessary for the SE version? Just curious.
i dont run any filters of any kind(dont know how)but i thought that the SE set was the best to date next to the blade runner,i have often wondered if there is anything lost, quality wise, from the downloading and the multiple burned copies etc.as opposed to my first gen on MY hard drive. maybe i will download one myself, and burn it, and run a side by side to see if it looks exactly the same as the "original" on my HD. No need to wonder -- that's what checksums are for.
All copies are digital, so the quality per se does not suffer at all. There might be a new glitch introduced here or there if small errors crop in, but that should be the extent of it.
I'm currently downloading the SE version of ESB from alt.binaries.starwars, and look forward to watching both that and the DC version tomorrow to compare again.

If all content providers would give checksums for their master files, like Doctor M did with his RTW releases, then the probability of "small errors crop in" could be reduced to one-in-a-gazillion. Without checksums, Murphy's law says "small errors" (or maybe not so small) WILL crop in.
Just watched these and they look great. Thanks for making these and thanks to Bwlag getting me a set.
I have a few blank DVDRs, I can mail out 3 sets to the first 3 that PM me your address, and tell me which set you want. The 97 SE Jedi / Feta set The Dark Jedi Pan & Scan set or The Dark Jedi DC set
