That’s great. That effect and sound can even be mimicked for yet another call back. It would also give Rey reason for burying it at the end that seemed a little weird.

I think is really easy to have an effect like this. I also like the symbolism of Rey beeing so consumed and drived by her anger on Kylo and that whole situtation that she kinda explodes and stabs Kylo. Just like the Saber that is so overused and forced to be in there, it craclkes ad fails.
That is great editing guys, a simple change enrichs the movie’s themes.
Yeah, I’ve already done some nice tweaks to that scene but this effect would give another great little detail to why her rage gets the better of her. I’ll wait to get the high res crackling scene and see if this works in reality.
