Should Vader and The Emperor even know who Yoda is?

While it’s never explicitly stated that Yoda was one of the Jedi who narrowly escaped the Empire’s Jedi extermination and went into exile like Obi-Wan, I still think it’s heavily implied. Could Yoda being a neutral being only loosely affiliated with the Jedi who had been on Dagobah for centuries and most people didn’t know the existence of? Perhaps. Was it the writers’ intention? Most certainly not.

I actually disagree with Oz though. Yoda doesn’t dress regally or look out of place. He’s just a little green goblin in a bathrobe, and looks 100% in his element in a mysterious swamp.
