Huh, it seems I’m still a mod on here, afterall. And due to the change in circumstances and in slight alteration to my plan in my previous post… I’ll now be around the site as and when.
Well, if this is the case, then I won’t be. If this is how the site is being run now, I want no fucking part of it. Mods can step down as mods, leave the site, then unilaterally decide to come back and ban someone they don’t like as part of a personal vendetta? Fuck that.

Was disappointed to see Ash banned when I tried to send him a PM about my edit. Granted, I’ve only occasionally lurked off topic these past few years as it’s not nearly as active as it’s once been, so I’m not super caught up, but this seems like an alarming turn of events. Would be nice to see some transparency from the staff team about how they’re running things. It’s one thing to ban bots, troll accounts, etc, but when you start banning people like Ash who actually materially contribute to the projects that people come to this site for, that’s a cause for concern. In all the years Ash has been on this site, I’ve never known him to be anything other than an upstanding poster. If he’s making such accusations, I personally would take them seriously.
It seems like it’s a common bit of confusion around these parts in regards to oojason’s status and whether other accounts are associated with him or not. Surely there’s some way to check IP addresses and put this matter to bed once and for all? It’s a shame to see mod drama get in the way of the forum itself. This site has been a fantastic resource for connecting with a smart and collaborative community of creative people. It’s sad to see that be put aside for what seems like petty reasons.
I mean, I gotta admit I’m really confused here. Obviously Ash saying “go fuck yourself” is against the rules, but what did dahmage do exactly? Is merely complaining about a mod (who wasn’t even supposed to be a mod or even be here?) against the rules now? Am I about to get banned for this post? If so, could you please let me know ahead of time so I can relocate my project, I’m in the middle of getting feedback on my workprint right now so it’d be unfortunate to get locked out.
