Today, I had an idea.
I think it would make an epic post-credit scene for ROTJ to show Luke coming in and picking up Grogu.
Already, tried to convert the episode to MP4 so I can make this edit happen, but the audio disappeared.
Anyone have an idea to convert the video and keep the audio?

My video of the episode is in VLC format, and I had trouble converting it to MP4 without the audio getting converted with it.
It’s odd.
VLC isn’t a format it’s just a program that opens videos for you, so when you opened it, the icon probably updated to the VLC cone.
To convert it so your program can read it, you can do the video and audio separately it doesn’t really matter, because we have the power of video editing. Simply convert your video, drag it in, looks like you’ve already done this. Then convert your audio by dropping the original .avi onto an audio program like audacity, then export each channel as 24 bit wav files, and load those into your video editor. Then just make sure video/audio are lined up with eachother.
If it’s 5.1 audio then you’ll need to look up how to set that up in your video editor, you will see 6 channels pop up in audacity, right click the first one - hit “split as mono”, and export each of the 6 as a mono track in order from top to bottom, L R C LFE sL sR.

You’re right, VLC is just a program; looks like the file format is mkv.
I’ve tried importing the .mkv file into Audacity, but that wouldn’t work.
Also, I’ve converted it to a .avi file, and the audio was lost in that.
Converting it to an MOV file right now to see how that works out.

I just really like the idea of inserting a mid or post-credit scene of Luke coming in to pick up Grogu.
So far, though, each conversion attempt keeps losing the audio, so I’ll put this on the backburner.

I was just now able to download an MP4 of the sequence of Luke coming in and picking up Grogu.
Like I said, I plan on making it a post-credit scene in ROTJ.
I’m a bit busy with something else at the moment, so it’s going on the backburner just once more.
