Just skimming through your ROTS cut, and I noticed that the elevator antics deleted scene was missing. I was wondering why it isn’t in here given it doesn’t have any unfinished VFX, or is it just a creative choice to leave that scene out. I was looking forward to seeing it in context.

Feedback aside, I’ve finished watching your Clone Wars microseries episodes and as someone who’s never seen all of them, I never would have guessed these were meant to be watched any other way. The 4K HDR conversion looks lovely, and I assume it helps having some sort of high quality source for it.

I’m planning on watching your TCW 4K cinematic cuts very soon. I’ve been making my way through the show again and just got to the Ryloth arc, so I will be watching that edit next!

You’ve done some great work, and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store!

Appreciate the feedback.

With the exception of Yoda’s arrival on Degobah, the scenes I chose to restore were scenes that…

A. Specifically tied into either the EU of the ROTS Era, or even current canon. (Same Mon Mothma actress as in Rebels, and the rest of the Senators showed up in material like James Luceno’s Dark Lord novel. Vader even kills one of them).
B. Had completed FX and required very few editing workarounds to include.
C. Did not explicitly contradict any other elements of canon and helped to enhance/expand the Star Wars universe without breaking it.
D. Were actually in the Matthew Stover ROTS novelization, so would have been considered canon back during the film’s release period.

Though Elevator Antics passed C, it failed all the other considerations, so I left it out. For these exact same reasons, I couldn’t include either Shaak Ti death. My goal is truly to make cut feel as much like an authentic LOTR style “Extended Edition” as possible (different art styles aside), while still being internally consistent and as lengthy as possible. This is why I also tweaked elements of the 2D Clone Wars series in the cut to fit better with official canon. Very minor bits, but the changes are there.

Plus, funny as it is, Hayden making R2 noises is definitely a bit out of place even for Lucas’ usual droid humor.
