I remember at one time you had a Extended Edition with alternate ending if im not mistaken. Is it possible that a V2 with the extended alternate ending will get a release???

It’s unlikely. I’ve found that the demand for the version with alternate ending just wasn’t enough to justify using my limited Google Drive space on it. If you’re interested in the alternate ending, I think you might as well go for Hal9000’s full edit “Labyrinth of Evil”

This is a V2 of my Extended Edition of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The following scenes are reintegrated into the movie:

-A Stirring in the Senate (Bail’s Office)
-Seeds of Rebellion (Padme’s Apartment)
-Confronting the Chancellor (Palpatine’s Office)
-Yoda’s communion with Qui-Gon (using audio from the Clone Wars courtesy of Hal9000)
-Exiled to Dagobah

I didn’t want to reinsert any scenes that had unfinished effects or repeated dialogue that already appears in the film, so the following scenes are NOT included:

-Grevious Slaughters a Jedi: Escape from the General
-A Plot to Destroy the Jedi?
-any Blu-Ray deleted scenes

Here are the changes from V1:
-The deleted scene in Bail’s Office is moved up by one scene and features new “sunset” color correction to better blend with the surrounding scenes (courtesy of Hal9000)
-The deleted scene in Palpatine’s Office is moved until after Obi-Wan touches down on Utapau, allowing for a less jarring transition.
-There is only a single audio track in this version. Yoda’s communion with Qui-Gon is included but I kept the original Vader scream since this is an Extended Edition and not a fanfix.
-Yoda’s exile to Dagobah is moved up by one scene, before Padme’s funeral. This allows for the original ending and it’s music to play out uninterrupted. (transition courtesy of Siliconmaster482)

Could I get a PM for this edit, been looking for something that just adds as much in as possible

After being beaten and battered by prequel hate, I promise not to be that to the next generation.

Could I get a PM too please?

“It’s over anakin. I have the high ground.” After Darth Maul, Obi Wan should have known better.

Does anyone have a link to Version 1 of this where Padme lives? Please send me a PM if you don’t mind sharing. Thanks

Does anyone have a link to the latest version of this project? It seems Octorox isn’t responding anymore.

I finally got around to watching this edit. Excellent, but why didn’t you end up including Dooku’s “Just because there are two of you do not assume you have the advantage” ?

Is it possible to get a DM with the download link 😃

Since it comes from a PS2 game I’m pretty sure the resolution was poor. It would have been too jarring.

Hello Octorox, I was wondering if you were thinking about updating your extended cut with the new bluray source for audio/video ?
If so, you can count me as interested at least 😄

I know there are other extended edition projects around, but yours was focused on making it seamless as much as possible, without editing out other stuff (even if I wouldn’t dislike a very light edits points to remove a few things).

So long 🙌

I would love a PM to the download link for this, please. I too like the theatrical edition but the addition of the deleted scenes would be great! Thanks for the great work.

Hey Malastrana. I personally don’t plan on doing this. I don’t have the know-how to output in HDR and I think in SDR, the difference between the two sources isn’t significant enough to be worth the effort (ROTS was shot in 1080p and mastered in 2K after all). I also borrowed some of the scene integrations (such as the 1st Seeds of the Rebellion scene) from Labyrinth of Evil, which still uses the older Blu-Ray source.

EDIT: Anyone who hasn’t gotten a DM, please DM me and I’ll send you the link. Sorry, I don’t check this thread very often.

This is a really good edit, my only problem is that even though it has 6 channel sound only 3 of the channels actually play audio. I would like to use this as the base for my edit and I’d like my saga to have consistently 6 channel sound, would you be able to fix it?

Hmm, that’s strange, and shouldn’t be the case. I’ll have to take a closer look at it.

Can anyone else confirm that they only get sound out of 3 channels?

Welp I checked the file along with V2 of my Faster, More Intense edit, and you’re right. There’s no sound in the rear channels. Even worse, I have no way of going back and fixing it without recutting from scratch since Premiere no longer supports ac3 files, which I used in my edit. I’m kind of at a loss as to what to do here. I may be able to recreate the Episode 3 extended edit but Episode I would be a whole lot of work. I’ll have to think on the best way to approach this.

Yeah I’m planning to, but it may be some time before I’m able to.

This is actually really good timing for redoing this, as Hal has just announced he’s using better upscales for the deleted scenes for new versions of his edits. You used Hal’s edits previously, didn’t you?

Yes. I’m going to wait for the new version of Hal’s edit.

Maybe. I was planning on it, but my edits are in a weird state right now. It was recently brought to my attention that V2 of Episode 1 is missing surround audio channels, which will take a while to fix since the original Premiere files aren’t working preoperly. I also wanted to do a V2 of Episode 2 which I haven’t gotten around to yet, and I’d have to redo that one from scratch. Suffice it to say, it might happen, but not anytime soon.

I personally recommend Hal’s Labyrinth of Evil as my go-to edit for Episode III. His I and II edits are a little too conservative for my tastes, but I think his III mostly strikes the right balance.
