Long time lurker, first time poster...anyone in Canada willing to send a copy of the Darth Editous dvd my way? More than happy to trade or pay it forward. Those U.S. postal rates are murder though...feel free to PM me, I've ensured they are set to 'ON'.

Also, thank you, Darth Editous, for the hard work in getting your project completed. It sounds intriguing, and I've decided I'd rather not wait for a Myspleen uploader.

This project sounds amazing. I'm downloading it right now off of alt.binaries.star-wars (dunno if its PAL or NTSC, not worried as my setup plays both). Thank you very much Darth Editous for your amazing work, and thank you to everyone for spreading this around and to segaflip for posting this.

Remarkable. I love what you've done with some of my fav film's most embarassing bits. I'm stunned by some of what I'm seeing here so far.

If there's a bright center to star wars trilogy dvd replacements, it's this one. (Edit: just noticed something. right about when wedge leaves the death star battle and vader says "let him go. Stay on the leader" You can see Vader's eye behind the mask.. forgive me if this has already been brought to your attention)

I've never sent out dvds before, but if there's a will, there's a way, as the saying goes. And I don't live too far from the post office. I'm in the Bronx, NY if you're 'desperate' and can't get it through newsgroups, pm me and maybe we can work something out. I have some dvdr's here by my desk that have nothing to do today.

This must be seen. So torrents, postage, anything. I'm willing to share.

Mr Lucas was talking about this edition, wasn't he?

I love the rough and direct-to-the-point feeling of the theatrical release.

But your edit (and footage rework) of the 2004 DVD looks probably as good to me:
it's a bit more round at the edges but it gives a little more life to the background with as few drops of CGI as needed (the one that don't distract from the story)...

However it is very spread out so I took all the info I could find and added them as links on a single web page.

I just watched this great dvd again sidebyside with OCP's Classic edition. That was fun.

Now I have to say the only thing that doesn't meet my favor with this gift from heaven is the exclusion of the SE 'biggs meeting luke' scene, but the inclusion of the "blast it, biggs where are you?" during the death star fight. I don't see how he could be asking biggs for help if he's not there. Dropping in "Wedge" like in the OCP version would have settled that little issue.

And now it's time to continue watching this loop of luke igniting his saber. I. Can't. Believe. It....
