You could have the scene where Luke sneaks off to the Falcon past Rey and transition to him going to burn down the tree (would need to possibly include a reason why in his discussions with Rey earlier) and then have Yoda appear and have that scene play out. Then Luke sneaks on to the Falcon and has the scene with Artoo. Then it would be both his old master and an old friend bringing him back to the light?
