I really do like what he was doing with the Special Editions - He included the little floating probe bots that are seen in the Droids animated series that predates the original trilogy SO we do know that GL was not talkin' poop when he said that he wanted to add this type of SFX to the original trilogy. I also LOVE the cleaned up picture that theyu were able to produce - SO yes the SE Trilogy getting the THX treatment for both sound and video was just about awesome put it this way I've been able to restore some of my VHS rips real good
with digital video tools. But I just can't get over the Han NOT shooting Greedo first OR that Jabba CG poop - THIS is almost and I do stress almost unforgivable after the effort that was done by Rick Baker and the rest of the SFX team. Jabba was real, Jabba was alien and had a freaky realism to him that the CG version lacks.
Anyway that's my SUPPORT for the Special Edition and also how and why I felt a bit let down by them.
BUT I wonder.
