My first thought too was that it looked like an NES controller turned on its side. I find myself feeling very strange over this. To be honest, what I called Nintendo's gimmicks (such as the DS) had done little to impress me. They all seemed like one trick ponies to me. And I am totally against online gaming, which is supposed to be the best thing to happen to home video game consoles. And none of the next-gen consoles have really done anything to make me say, "I have to have that!" I don't know, though. I felt a sort of twinge of excitement reading this. It's hard to explain why, especially when I'm such a traditionalist, but I think it could work. It seems pretty multi-purpose. I am wondering how more traditional games will play. I guess we'll just have to see how things play out.
