It’s a valid spot. Certainly that’s the most problematic of the arcs I’ve presented in the list above, because as you say it’s a mashup, something I’ve said I’m against.

The issues it solves are that firstly, as you say, the Domino Squad arc does have a little implied time jumping. This is almost entirely solved by dialogue trims and intercutting. And the Christophsis arc has content that’s (1) interesting but not vital, then (2) good but not great this early in the show, then (3) vitally introduces Ahsoka but is not very good. So the solution there would be to intercut it with something good.

Smudger spotted this, and his movie really works. It includes some elements I’d trim, but I think it’s the best way of presenting both arcs- I suppose my project’s first rule isn’t so much “no movies” as “best presentation”, and I think in this case Smudger found the best.

Also, since this episode would be Ahsoka light, I think that justifies it being followed by the Holocron arc rather than Mandalore.
