Then the best untouched answer is a pan and scan laserdisc? I don’t know how I feel about that.

It also makes the 2008 DVD the best digital alternative.

Every one of the 10,800,320 frames of the film were individually scanned into the computers at Disney, after which each character was rotoscoped and removed from the scene. The background “dust busters” would then go to work, removing cell dirt, scuff and film scratches from the images.”
