Good work would be great to see the scenes just cleaned up…

Even though the scenes themselves are the main focus I have a feeling the Vader deleted scene on the death star goes inbetween C3P0 entering the Lars Homestead and then emerging from the bath tub.

The fact that it blacks out is a bit telling.

As for Audio, the audio spoken by Vader used in the holiday special is actually meant to be for the scene aboard the tantive and the line spoken by Vader in the film aboard the tantive is for the deleted scene… It was swapped because the scene was cut.

Hope that helps 😃

Swap = “well done commander there will be no one to stop us this time”

Have you even watched the deleted scene? It’s clearly meant to be placed long after Luke meets Ben, when the’re at Mos Eisley. The clue is in the very first line spoken; “We’ve closed the spaceport at Mos Eisley and started a search operation”. And the dialogue for Vader can also be heard spoken by Dave Prowse. None of it corresponds to anything said aboard the Tantive IV. And the Dialogue for that scene that Vader speaks in the Holiday special was specifically recorded for that special. long after the film came out. It was recorded at the same time JEJ recorded his dialogue for the cartoon section.

EDIT: According to the novel the deleted scene with Vader & Tagge takes place right between the Han & Jabba scene & Luke & co reaching docking bay 94.

If you listen to the radio drama Vader says a line very similar to which is similar to the holiday special about “I want the rebels located and identified even if it means searching every house hold in the system”

Then when Vader walks with the commander Bast the line “Well done commander they’ll be no one to stop us this time” because the guy on the Tantive is not a commander that is the give away.

It is similar to the moved line when Luke is on the cliff “I’m ready for anything” which was moved to just before entering the cantina.

The placement of the scene was to be honest a guess but the space port was shut when they got there (discard the ships in the special edition) and the storm troopers do destroy the sandcrawler and go to Lukes house and Mos eisley is blockaded when they arrive… So it was a sense of what part feels like it’s missing a cut away, and that is the only place. So even if I am wrong which I can accept, it would not actually hurt it being placed there because there does not feel like any other natural place it would go and it still has no conflicts. I can’t say it feels like much missing from the space port part the most I ever found was a alien selling a sort of UFO ship as a market trader and a few alternate angles. The ship seller is a shot that still yet to be seen but there is a photo only.

Anyway try to swap that line that is the main point really but the placement take it as food for thought.

I suppose you can lump the unused deathstsr with lights image as the reveal beforr the scene also… You know the one on the game mat it is unused model shot. Or it swaps with the tarkin conference death star reveal.

One last thing in the on set audio of C3-PO coming out the oil bath the sound of the dripping oil is missing as he emerges (from the sound mix). If you did agree with the placement putting the sound of the dripping from the outtake would be the final bit of that part which is missing if it can be isolated.
