The mini series is in 4k. It would be nice to watch it in that resolution. There is no 4k release of the theatrical version yet.
Plus some scenes use different coverage and just play differently. It would be nice to preserve the whole “mini-series” experience.

Correction: there is no OFFICIAL 4k release of the theatrical version. There is a DCP-rip of the movie floating on rutracker last I checked.

Well, someone uploaded a 720p version on MySpleen - I commented on the upload, but hadn’t started downloading yet, only to open up MySpleen today to find the torrent missing and a “notice” posted directly to me saying “NO NETFLIX CONTENT WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.”
Not saying I’m the only one who got that notice, but damn, yelling at people for even commenting on the upload?

One thing is unfortanly missing is the Roadshow version of Daisy messing up Jim Jones Botney Bay.
All my life as I looked away to the future, to the horizon. Never in my mind did I know where I was, what I was doing.
I saw the roadshow cut twice in theatres and I’ve refused to see the standard cut. It’s just not the same.
I’m interested in seeing the new content in the miniseries version, but I’d prefer to still watch it in the original film structure with the proper chapters. I’d welcome a fanedit that integrates the new content into the film, although I know that’s iffy considering no one can say they own a Netflix source.

This is with new Weinstein logo and Cinerama title cards alongside the overture and intermission, this is a V2 I shared version 1 on everyone’s favourite organ anyone wants to experience the closest version we will get until the Roadshow version comes out drop me a PM, the run time is 3hrs and 12mins all in.

Indeed, structured to represent the closest we will get to the Roadshow version but as the Netflix version has more footage than the roadshow version this was my take on a new extended version but all the chapters and cutaways representing the theatrical version but with added overture and intermission to break up the 3hrs 13mins run time
Been looking for this as well but never got around to doing the leg work for an organ invite. If anyone has a way in do let me know, happy to do my part to contribute and may have some good unique stuff.

I noticed this has been recently added to a popular public torrent site. It’s 1080p, 5.1 audio in an x265 MKV - 9 gig in total. Just to confirm I’m talking about the Netflix 4 part version not the Roadshow version.
I haven’t seen the miniseries yet, but for those of you who have: Would it make any sense to filter out the new extra scenes and try to insert them into the film making some sort of “Comprehensive Cut”?
You know, getting rid of all the edits for the miniseries (previews, etc.) and just putting the new stuff into the film…
I have done that. I removed the recap, intros and end credits from the mini series. Then I put the 6 chapter headings back in and added in the overture and a brief intermission.
Runtime:

I wonder if anyone has either the French or Target Exclusive Blu Rays of Hateful Eight? They have some exclusive extras that would be good to include on a comprehensive cut disc.

I don’t believe it’s been released in any form including a bootleg/cam. It would have to be an approximation using footage from the extended cut. The version I made has the overture, six chapter titles and intermission but uses all of the extended material.

I was able to secure a fan edit of the extended cut, but the one I have only has stereo audio. Is there a version out there that preserves the 5.1 track or is this the only one?
