A couple weeks ago I sparked an SE argument with the guy who wrote the Star Wars Archives “1977-1983” for him using SE images in his book. He claimed it’s not a problem to talk all about motion control models then only have finished CG images made 20 years later because “Lucas’ intent”. He later responded to someone asking why the theatrical cuts shouldn’t be released and he responded asking why should they if it wasn’t what Lucas originally wanted to release?

If a guy who researched and interviewed everyone involved with making the movies doesn’t understand why the ORIGINAL WORK should be preserved, I’m not sure we can convince anyone. I’m going to keep on keeping on because I’m never going to give up, ever, but it sucks.
