Titanic - Open Matte & Widescreen Hybrid (Released)

Hey guys, i found out, that there is an Imax Version of the Movie “Titanic” and i wanted to make a hybrit like the Blu-Rays of The dark knight, Interstellar or Tron Legacy of it(some scenes are looking better in Widescreen and some are looking better in Open Matte). Here is the Problem; i don´t have the Imax Version of the film. I would be very happy, if somebody would send me a Mega Link of the Imax Version.

Your best bet would be to seek out a rip of the 3D Blu-ray of the film. I should know, I have a copy myself, and it’s in full 16:9 for the 3D version. Just take the left eye thereof, and you should be good to go for your full-frame source.

Keep in mind there is fill in artefacts on both the left and right eye of the 3D version. You may want to look for a HDTV version which is 16:9 but without artefacts. There is a HDTV which is an earlier Telecine which matches the DVD version and a 2012 HDTV which has the bluray scan (and color grade).

Huh, I didn’t know. I’m not very big on the HDTV scene myself, admittedly, so I generally don’t know about HDTV rips unless I happen across mention of them by someone else.

Hey, little update, i found a 3d version, and i am almost ready with renderering. I kept most of the Dialoge parts in Widescreen and most of the Titanic scenes and sinking scenes in Imax.

The widescreen and the imax versions are based on the 2011 Blu Ray by the way.
