As some of you already know, THE GOLDEN CHILD (hit movie with Eddie Murphy) has been announced for blu-ray release on December 1st as part of the “Paramount Presents” series.

So far there has been no word on any use or restoration of John Barry’s original score (one can only assume Paramount did/has not worked things out with the late composer’s estate).

With the technology fans now have with isolating sound stems digitally, it is therefore possible to construct a re-creation of a version of the film with Barry’s intended score as originally seen by test audiences.
