I was thinking about the possibility of re-editing Season 3 (and The Tenth Planet) to reorder them so that The Daleks’ Masterplan serves as the First Doctor’s final outing. It’d be very tricky, but here’s what I came up with that just might work.

Let’s be real, you can skip Galaxy 4
The Myth Makers but without Katarina joining
The Massacre - The Savages (all the Steven and Dodo stories) but without Steven leaving
The Daleks’ Masterplan 1-6
A mashup of The Feast of Steven and The War Machines that introduces Ben and Polly but keeps Steven and Dodo onboard
Let’s be real, you can skip The Smugglers
The Tenth Planet with Steven and Dodo’s absences accounted for or their presence added in
The Daleks’ Masterplan 8-12 with Ben and Polly added in

So that’s basically it. While adding in extra characters who weren’t there might sound impossible, given I’d be working off of reconstructions, inserting them might actually be feasible. Just add them standing around and throw in a line from another episode once in a while and it should be good. Besides, Ben and Steven sound practically the same, so I might be able to swap some lines between them.
