Then you get a new IP, then they get pissed, then they block the entire range, preventing all users in your area from editing, then they go discuss it for a million years.

True. Then everyone in that IP range hunts you down and skins you alive for screwing with them.

Out of curiosity, why is 11/17/78 a day that will live in infamy as per Georgie? He didn't release any movies that day that I know of. Rerelease of SW?

Yeah, the holiday special to him is THE largest mistake of his career in his eyes, not to mention an embarrasment to star wars, in his opinion. So the day it was released will live in infamy, to do a play on a certain famous quote. I don't know, for some reason that date stays in my head.

Not to worried about that, have access to alot of different providers! Plus it would be funny to see them start banning Colleges, Charter, Comcast, Quest, the widwest.

Thank goodness that it was deleted as it was just a stupid proposition. If someone is wanting information on OT.com where do you think they will go? To Wikipedia on the off chance that someone did post an article or to originaltrilogy.com? If they can't find specific info at OT.com then that is simply a failure of the site that should be fixed here.

Would you guys prefer a visitor found out info on another site altogether and never see them again or would you prefer they join the forum here to ask the question and then become a permanent member?

Becuase he has two "http://" in the link. The link goes to a list of changes to the star wars films over the years on wikipedia.
