Many valid points there CC and I agree for the most part. There are some awkward moments that were destined to be there.

Bane should have been a strong enough (no pun intended) character to build a whole film around instead of throwing him in, likewise a Batgirl (I say 'a' because we all know that character *wasn't* Batgirl ). Oh and btw- did your catch the Bane bit after the credits? Its funny because I envisioned sort of a psuedo-story going on during this version of the film- including the set-up for Bane to appear in a 'sequel'.

Most of Batgirl's stuff stunk so again in 'story-in-my-head' mode I pictured that Batman, much more intelligent than Schumacher or the script gave him credit for, *knew* that Barbara was up to something and you even can (hopefully) get the impression that Bruce and Alfred baited her.

I fully admit the 'Robin-signal' makes no sense in the edit, but god help me I couldn't bring myself to put more Bane in the film! And regretfully Bane and Ivy are joined at the hip in the film.

As to the transitions, yes in the 'version' I was trying to stay as true as possible to the other 3 films in the series. My friend BatmanMD (who is obviously too good to post here anymore ) also liked the idea of more wipes, etc. I know, as stated before, that I'm going to do a version 2.0 eventually (audio commentary, etc) and I very well may re-visit severla of these points. I don't know about other editors but there is always the temptation to keep re-doing and re-doing the work. This works well to a point but eventually one will end up like George Lucas and tweaking and tweaking... a bad thing IMHO.

First time poster here, want to say what I wonderfull forum this is, what a great movement it is to try and restore the original cuts of Star Wars, and, to go by the topic, say what a great recut this film was. However, as many others have mentioned, I miss Alfred sub-plot and for one I may the only one to say that I missed the bickering between Batman and Robin. I understand your notions behind your editing them out, but I still miss them and feel, if edited correctly, could serve the film a great deal.

If you do a version 2.0, which I hope you do, please consider including the Alfred sub-plot into the film, but ending not with Alfred miraculously surviving. My gripe was that the film built to him dying and he didn't. Can you make it seem as if he dies in the end, and somehow incorporate a funeral-like scene, if you could make that digitally of via other software stuff.

Also, I think the bickering must be re-instated, although in a much less gratuitous fashion. For instance, it's be nice to show Robin actually crushed with Ivy, but not Batman, and then their argument would be overall over Batman's ability to trust others (I think its in tune with the character, as Batman doesn't easily trust someone) and their argument would be finished when Bruce asks Dick to trust him before going away with the Robin signal.

I got to say, I loved your idea of Bruce and Alfred baiting Barbra. And I liked how you reconstructed the scene. You should had a "Welcome!" by Clooney's Bruce before showing him in costume. Maybe search for a "welcome" thats sounds like Clooney to insert there, to show how he expected her. Also, maybe show her suit up, and while she's suiting up, show Batman suit up (footage from the early beggining of the film, minus the butt and cod-piece shots), as well to show that they both prepare to go to Robin and help him? I think that would enhance your point, and it would remind of FOREVER's Batman suiting up the Sonar suit, and BR with Batman suiting up before going to rescue the Ice Princess.

What is your opinion? Do you like/hate my suggestions? Please tell me because I liked you recut, actually..
