I like adding that theme to the scene, I feel like it should come in a little later, as Rey starts to notice that Kylo has no intention of saving the fleet. That way it can build faster and not feel repetitive. But I like that idea a lot.
Darthrush actually did something like that, when he tried to rescore the scene in his edit of TLJ:
It also moves the big climax of the song to Holdo’s lightspeed kamikaze, which helps it fit much better.
