I have to admit, watching an occasional fight is fun to watch. But when it becomes a distraction from the game itself, I have to frown upon it. Hockey is a game of skill, speed, and reflexes. Anger and raw emotion have their places, but nothing compares to a beautifully executed power play or a goalie on fire.

[One exception: the time(s) when the Avs and the Red Wings decided to forget the game and empty the benches in a free-for-all. Watching two goalies go at it at center ice is a spectacle in itself.]
