when the wall was torn down it symbolized the fall of the USSR and when the USSR fell countless nations that were taking over in WW2 gained independance, and became countries again. my point was that if the USSR had takin over japan japan would have gained its independance with the rest of those nations.

The USSR would not have gained control of Japan after the war. When Germany surrendered, the destiny of the world was pretty much decided.

Hehehe a communist Japan, now that would have been kinda creepy.

they would have invaded and the land that they took they would not have given back, it would be exactly like eastern europe. the berlin wall repersented the border between the USSR and germany.

Oh whatever, it's actually pointless now isn't it... If Japan was never bombed 300 thousand lives would be spared, but we could be living under the opressing power of a super space-monkey race that mixes truth and lies to create caos and anarchy, who would be using us to build an insane psychedelic weapon to destroy the Kordons from the galaxy of Mechatronikos. We can never know what the world would be like if something had happened differently.

one can say this with alot of senrity that if those 300 000 had not been killed and had japan not surrender, then millions od more people would have been kill.

Completly and utterly agree. If the Soviets and the Americans had entered Japan, the japanese would have been crushed. In the battle of Okinawa I mentioned earlier %50 of a population of over 300000 was wiped out. scary. How odd it is that the tool that created a cold war that lasted decades, in the one time it was used brought peace.

edit: added second bit to avoid double post

a little funfact:

when the germans invaded denmark in WWII, there was only ONE shot fired from a border guard. ONE shot from a rifle was the only thing that tried to stop the german advance into denmark. that man, catn remember his name, has his own place in the museum.

I did not know that. Why wasn't there more resistance?

So long as it's in good fun, eh?

Don't want to offend people, but everybody appreciates the odd political joke.

Here's one.

The CIA, the FBI, and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are all trying to prove that they are the best at apprehending criminals. Bush decides to give them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it.

The CIA goes in. They place animal informants throughout the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive investigations, they conclude that rabbits do not exist.

The FBI goes in. After two weeks with no leads they burn the forest, killing everything in it, including the rabbit and they make no apologies. The rabbit had it coming.

The LAPD goes in. They come out two hours later dragging a badly beaten bear. The bear is screaming, "Okay, okay! I'm a RABBIT!! I'm a RABBIT!!"
