And on a personal note, this project continues to be worked on using borrowed snippets of time. Life is a 24/7 marathon in my home, and I’ve been getting some flack for even the average of like 7 minutes I spend at the computer for this, so I’m going to need to watch it.
What remains of the pipeline for this project is very doable, even if heavily segmented and slow.
The OP lists the few bits and pieces still needed from others. These should be things I can easily lay into place. The audio for the crackling saber is simple to do but will require time.
Once that’s done I will reconnect media in order to ditch my proxy rip with the better rip, crossing fingers that there’s no issue that would require manual realignment. Then I will slowly scrub through the movie in order to apply the LUTs properly, carful not to skip over segments that may show different settings and things like that. Then I can encode final output.
Burbin is doing subtitles, which will be immensely helpful, as I don’t know when I’d be able to do them at this point. Ash can do a DTS encode, and I should be able to sync a chapter file.
A group commentary can hopefully take place, if I can sell it and be able to make space for it that will also work with the right members’ availability. Good thing is that if we can do it at all, all we need is a ‘sync-locked’ draft to go on and we wouldn’t need to wait for the final product to get it done.
Dom just sent me his Rey vs. TIE sequence, so we might be pretty close to a sync-lockable point.
