If only the originals were included! Why did Lucas have to leave them out? Why, why, why? I'm seriously fighting the temptation to buy these DVDs. I must resist! They look so tempting. Really my only problem with them are that they're the new versions. The cleaned up quality, all those bonus features, etc. all make me want to get these. I wanna see the movies in ultra high quality (if only they were the originals!) and I wanna hear the commentaries for all of them and get to see all those extra features. But I'm still fighting against it. Somebody help me resist temptation!

Seriously, though, I'm trying to avoid buying these, but on the other hand they look so tempting... So many pros and so little cons (except those few cons are really, really big ones)... Meh, I'll wait and see what happens. I'm pretty sure I'll resist and won't buy these. Although I probably will watch them from whoever I can when they come out just to see all the differences.

And speaking of the differences, it really seems to me that with this DVD release Lucas is doing all the changes he should've done with the first Special Edition. It seems that he's really cleaning up lightsabers and matte lines and stuff and making other improvements (improving Greedo shooting first and Jabba in A New Hope) instead of just using this as a CGI test and not putting much effort into the changes like in the 1997 Special Editions.

However, like in the 1997 versions, he's making some unnecessary and stupid changes again. In 1997 he made Greedo shoot first, Luke scream as he fell, etc. and in 2004 he's making Hayden appear in place of Shaw Sebastian and changing Boba Fett's voice (his old one was awesome, this new one just sucks) and adding Naboo into the end celebration and so on.
