Converting MKV to MP4 to import into Premiere Pro with 5.1 audio

Hi,

I’ve ripped my Star Wars blu rays using MakeMKV and now have them in MKV format. How do I convert them to MP4 so that I can import them into Adobe Premiere, but retaining the 5.1 audio? I’ll need to be able to choose which audio track to keep when doing so. Any help here would be great 😃

You should use a program called Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php). It provides a lot of customization for converting between common video and audio formats.

Or if you don’t wanna loose quality, use tsmuxer to mux the video into a .m2ts file and that’s fully compatible with premiere.
