Hey everyone, new to the forum! I was led to the project by YouTube’s algorithm showing me a video of all the changes made to A New Hope, and then seeing that someone had managed to get a physical copy of the trilogy in the hands of Edgar Wright.

Cue months into the strange year that 2020 has been, and I’ve read all about the Do’s and Don’ts of preserving this magical project. I’m looking forward to assembling the materials to make myself a physical copy of the Harmy editions. My Dad (not a SW fan…) and younger brother both work for a local signage company, so they have access to some quality printing tech.

I was six and a half when the Special Editions hit theatres, but prior to that my Mum estimates I watched the unaltered trilogy at least three times a week for years. Seeing these the way I really remember them blew my mind, it had been 23 years…

I was 8 when Phantom Menace came out, so back then, I ate it up. It was made for kids! Now, combined with nostalgia, and the new knowledge that fan edits exist, I realize that my adult belief that there is a good film hiding somewhere in each prequel isn’t totally insane.

No other series could ever make people work so hard, learn so many new things, just to make something so beautiful and pure, and attempt to share it with others. Star Wars rocks.
