Phildesfr's Blu-Ray Complete Set — Page 5

These were the answers to my prayers! I thought it was a waste not to use Drew Struzan’s artwork on the front of the steelbooks for the blu rays rather than the back, especially for the Prequels. I know he did artwork for the Original Trilogy as well around the time of the special edition or the dvd releases, but there’s no beating the original poster art from when those classics came out regardless. Expertly crafted bro!

Hey Phil, do you plan on doing a cover for The Rise of Skywalker to match the other films?

Hi! Yes, I have one almost ready, I just to take some time to finish it and upload it.

I am not entirely sure if anyone on here is able to help me out with this problem, but I’m having a difficult time printing off Phildesfr’s covers of the Prequels and Rogue One in Criterion Blu-Ray cases, so they’ll match my Despecialized Editions of the OT. My printer wouldn’t let me resize them to the dimensions I want. The thing is, I’m able to print covers just fine as they come.

Criterion cases have a different spine size, right? Meaning you’d have to expand the size of just the spine while leaving the front and back sizes intact. You’ll need to do some selective resizing in Photoshop or another image editor to get that to work. Or just use regular, blue BR cases.

Could we expect to see Blu-Ray covers for Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars, the Holiday Special, and the Droids/Ewoks cartoons & TV movies to match the style of the film covers?

I know this is a small thing to point out, but in regards to the Disney era films, how come there aren’t any logos on the top of the spines? Episodes 1-6 have the “20th Century Fox Home Entertainment” logo when being displayed together, but episodes 7-9, Rogue One, and Solo don’t even have a Disney castle logo on the top of the spines. Maybe, my OCD is kicking in a little bit or something.

They all look wonderful. Is there any chance you can do a version of the despecialized editions with the poster art being reversed? I’d love to see TESB with this artwork on the cover: https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NLxOyEkRlgg/UBJ9cEmvW5I/AAAAAAAAKAc/eYGKwSo2cY0/s1600/Star+Wars+-+The+Empire+Strikes+Back+(1980)+Style+B+by+Tom+Jung.jpg

Hello HarveyPlissken,

sorry to answer so late, but I eventually took some time to work out and issue a set of 3 variations of the Trilogy blu-ray cover featuring Tom Jung’s posters, here they are :

The editable and printable PDFs have been added to my shared folder: http://mega.nz/#F!E1tVHZ4B!Jbegfsr8CGPvHKBZUX-yaw

Enjoy!

I don’t print cover art, but do use the front and back portions with my cataloging software. Every once in a while I like to change things up. Just downloaded these the other day. Figured I’d register on the forums here so I could say thanks. Nice work!

Hey where did you find your photo for the back of Empire? I’ve been trying to find a high quality source for that image for a possible Blu-ray disc art (probably going to wait for Despecialized 3.0 before I finally make my own box set), but I’ve had no luck at finding one that looks that nice.

Boring conversation anyway…

What happened to all the assets folders? Why are they now empty?

Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.
